Liberal senior defensive lineman Elwin Trejo is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Trejo had nine tackles, five for loss, two sacks, a fumble recovery, and a forced fumble in Liberal’s 49-3 win over Guymon at the Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex last week. Trejo was first team all WAC as a junior. He also wrestles. He and the Redskins host the Hays Indians Friday night at 7 for homecoming.
