Kuntze named Jayhawk West Setter of the Week

LIBERAL, Kan. – The early season awards continue to come in for Lady Saint sophomore setter Giovanna Kuntze. A week after being named to the NMMI Classic All-Tournament Team, she has been named Setter of the Week for the Jayhawk Conference.

Kuntze opened up conference play in dominating fashion. Her 53 assists are the most by a Lady Saint since 2012. While she helped set up her teammates all night, averaging 13.25 assists per set, she also racked up 6 kills on the offensive end, while being a force on defense with 5 blocks and 10 digs. She ended the night with 11 points and played a part in 64 of Seward’s 92 points scored.

The Lady Saints play again tonight (Sep. 6) at 6:30 p.m. in the Greenhouse against Garden City. There will also be a donation table set up to donate non-perishable food and drinks for former Saints and Lady Saints in Houston.
