Delbert Linaweaver

Delbert Linaweaver, age 85, passed away late Monday evening, August 21, 2017, at his Plains residence.
He was born in 1931, the son of Forrest and Vera Linaweaver of Lindsborg, Kansas. He later joined the United States Army as a young man. After his discharge, he went to Texas and met his wife Mary and they have been married for forty-nine years. To this marriage they had three children, Anna Lanford (Rick); Donald Linaweaver (Michele) and David Linaweaver (Jessie) all of Plains, Kansas.
Other survivors include two brothers, Linus Linaweaver of McPherson, Kansas, and Leo Linaweaver of Zwallie, Louisiana; a sister, Glova Ruth Flood of Many, Louisiana; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Maynard and Clairence Linaweaver.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017, at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. Cremation has taken place.
