Local Student Announced as Lincoln Welding Project Winner

The LHS Welding program is proud to announce the “3-Seat Bench Project” constructed by Keith Evans and submitted to the Lincoln Electric Welding competition has been selected as a Regional Silver Award winner. The region includes Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa,and Minnesota. Keith completed the drawing portion of the plan under the directtion of SCCC instructors Scott Lickteig and Steve Merz. He built the project and completed the remainder of the plan at LHS with instructor Brad Evans.
Keith is a 2017 Graduate of both LHS and SCCC and was named the 2017 LHS Valedictorian.
Lincoln Welding awards one gold, two silver, three bronze, and ten merit cash awards per region. For more information about the contest visit www.lincolnelectric.com.
