Rep. Marshall Announces Farm Bill Listening Tour

U.S. Rep. Roger Marshall, R-Great Bend, announced a farm bill listening tour Friday. The public is invited to attend and the discussion will focus on trade, nutrition, commodity programs and other issues anticipated to be a part of the 2018 federal farm bill, a Marshall office press release said.

“I aim to hear the concerns – and most importantly – hear the ideas of those impacted by the bill. These ideas will be immeasurably valuable as my colleagues and I begin discussions and deliberations on the next farm bill,” Marshall said in the release.

The farm bill tour stops in this region:

Sterling: 6 p.m. Aug. 18, Studio 96, 121 S. Broadway

Montezuma: 8 a.m. Aug. 21, Stauth Memorial Museum, 111 N. Aztec St.

Elkhart: Noon Aug. 21, Morton County Civic Center, 400 Orchard St.

Tribune: 7:30 a.m. MST, Aug. 22, Greeley County Extension Pavilion, 1001 Ingalls St.

Haven: 8 a.m. Aug. 26, Haven Community Building, 215 S. Reno St.

Marshall also will conduct a regular listening tour stop to hear constituents’ concerns on the full range of issues at:

Hugoton: 2 p.m. Aug. 21, Pioneer Manor.
