Rattlers Go 4-1 in Hays

The Rattlers finish 4-1 in Hays at the Wild West Festival.  After wins over TMP and North Colorado Friday, the Rattlers lost to the Colorado Baseball Academy 10-0 on Saturday.  Sunday they beat Norton 7-0 and defeated the Southwest Hitters 6-3 in eight innings.

Saturday the Rattlers had one hit and two errors against the Colorado Baseball Academy.

Sunday, the Rattlers beat Norton 7-0.  Max Valles was 3-3 with a double while Dylan Thompson added a double.  Thomson, Cesar Burciaga, and Elijah McCarter had two hits a piece.  Kaleb Wilmes pitched all seven innings for a shutout win.

The Rattlers needed extra innings to defeat the Southwest Hitters.  It was 3-3 after seven but the Rattlers had three in the eighth as McCarter, Braxton Hyde, and Pancho Terrazas drove home runs.  McCarter was d3-4 on the day and Max Valles was 2-2.  Hyde pitched seven innings with five strikeouts and one walk.

The Rattlers are 24-5.

The 15 and under Rattlers won a tournament at Dodge City by beating the Dodge City Rangers 11-4.  Aiden Pittman was the MVP in that game.  The 13’s took third in the same tournament playing up against older teams.  The 15’s host district Wednesday night at 8 at the National Beef Family Sports Complex.
