2 Vehicle Accident Claims The Life of a Beaver OK Teen

A Fatality collision occurred last night at 11:13pm on US Highway 83, 5.2 miles North of Turpin, Oklahoma, in Beaver County.
A 2004 Chevy pickup, driven by a 17 year old female of Beaver, Oklahoma, was traveling southbound on United States Highway 83 when she went left of center and struck a 2007 Peterbilt tractor, driven by Gerardo Holguin-Barron, 36, of Liberal.
The 17 year old was pinned in her vehicle for 20 minutes before being taken by Seward County EMS to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas then transferred to Wichita, Kansas. She was admitted in stable condition with head, arm, and
trunk internal injuries
A passenger in her vehicle, a 15 year old female of Beaver, Oklahoma. Transported by Seward
County EMS to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas then transferred to Children’s Hospital in Aurora,
Colorado. She was admitted in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.
A second passenger, a 15 year old male of Beaver, Oklahoma was transported to Southwest
Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas, by Seward EMS. Treated for leg injury and released.
A third passenger, a 16 year old male of Beaver, Oklahoma. was pronounced dead on scene by Seward County EMS from head injuries. Transported to Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma, by Clark Funeral Service.
Holguin-Barron was Transported by personally owned vehicle to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas. Treated
for a leg injury and released.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Chance Husted #911 of the Harper County detachment. Assisted by
Lt. Ludwyck #155, Beaver County Sheriff’s Office, Seward County Sheriff’s Office, Turpin Fire and Rescue, Seward County EMS, and
Seward County Fire Department
