Stineman Inks with Tabor

Seward County sophomore outfielder Cody Stineman signed on the dotted line on Wednesday in the All-American Room at SCCC, finalizing his commitment to Tabor College where he will finish his baseball career the next two years.

Stineman hit .241 with 5 home runs and 24 RBI’s for the Saints during his sophomore campaign, playing in 48 of 54 contests for Seward. His 15 extra base hits were second on the team, as were his 29 walks and .816 OPS. Stineman had eight multi-hit games as a sophomore this season, including in his final game as a Saint where he homered in his last at bat in the green and white against Cowley. He finishes his Seward career with a .278 average, 8 home runs, and 42 RBI’s while putting together an impressive .898 OPS.

Stineman will join a very successful Tabor program in the KCAC which was ranked inside the NAIA Top 15 to close the season. The Blue Jays won 41 games in 2017, falling to #3 Oklahoma Wesleyan deep in the KCAC tournament to end their season.
