LHS Girls Soccer Defeats Garden City

Liberal’s girls soccer team beat Garden City Tuesday night at the Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex.  The one goal in the game came in the 24th minute when Kim Alarcon headed home a goal.  Johaly Portillo had the assist.  Liberal then added an extra defender to preserve the victory.  Liberal is 7-8 overall and 3-4 in the WAC as Garden City falls to 3-1-2 in the WAC.  Liberal hosts WAC champion Dodge City Thursday night at 5:30 at Redskin Field.
