The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin highway resurfacing of K-23 beginning at the KS/OK State Line continuing North 26.9 miles to South of the railroad tracks in Meade.  Resurfacing is scheduled to begin Tuesday, April 25.

K-23 will be reduced to one lane guided by a pilot car during working hours with an approximate delay of 15 minutes during the project.  The project is expected to be completed in 35 working days weather permitting.  KDOT urges drivers to be alert, pay attention to all work zone warning signs, slow down when approaching a work zone and be prepared to stop.

Venture Corporation of Great Bend is the primary contractor on the project with an approximate construction cost of $1.9 million.
