The USD 480 board of education met Monday night and accepted 17 new courses from Seward County Community College. Liberal High School students will be able to take these classes. Fifteen of the courses are in SCCC’s Natural Gas Compression Tech program. Some of those classes will include intro to natural gas, engine theory, compression theory, and precision measurements. Students will be job ready after taking these courses. The other two classes are in SCCC’s welding program. Those classes are oxyfuel and shield medal.
