Bee Jays hire 2017 Coach
The Liberal Bee Jays are excited to announce the hiring of Daniel Parker as the head coach and manager for the 2017 season. Parker is currently an assistant coach at Baker University. He comes to Liberal with a lot of experience and connections to baseball in Kansas.

Parker spent three years as a volunteer assistant coach with Dodge City Community College where he worked primarily with position players (both hitting and fielding) as well as recruiting.

Prior to Dodge City, he spent a year at Coffeyville Community College where he helped the Red Ravens break the school record for wins with 40. Under his guidance working with the hitters, Coffeyville broke 10 offensive school records.

In the summer of 2014, he was the hitting coach for the Derby Twins in the Jayhawk Collegiate League. The team went 4-2 in the NBC World Series in Wichita.

Parker is from Lawrence, KS and graduated from Lawrence High in 2007. He was a three year letterman in baseball. He then attended college at the University of Illinois where he played baseball for the Fighting Illini.
