Hugoton’s Pedro Ordonez Wins Overall Billy’s 10 Best Scholarship

Hugoton’s Pedro Ordonez is the overall winner of the Billy’s 10 Best Scholarship.  Ordonez will receive an additional 250 dollars to his college of choice from 102.7 and Billy’s for a total of 600 dollars.  The winners of 350 dollar scholarships from 102.7 and Billy’s are Sublette’s Quinnton Gonzalez,  Southwestern Heights Payton LaPoint, Moscow’s Bryan Garcia, Hooker’s Robby Wardlaw,  Satanta’s Noah Young, Turpin’s Dawson Batt,  Beaver’s Gunhar Martin, Meade’s Lawson Luetters,  Tyrone’s Tanner Hurst, and Liberal’s Zach Mansell.

Ordonez was a running back and outside linebacker for the Eagles.  He rushed for 428 yards and six touchdowns and caught seven passes for 162 yards.  He had 66 tackles including 18 for loss with five sacks.  Ordonez is also in wrestling where he took third at state, and track where he helped the 4×400 relay team take third, and powerlifting.  He is in the KU honors program with a 3.978 GPA, Kansas Scholars Curriculum, Blue Red Honor Roll, NHS, student council, FBLA, Latinos Make a Difference, school play, class officer, works at Kramer Seed Farms and Pheasant Heaven and volunteered for Project Hope.
