A Moscow man was sentenced yesterday to seven years in prison for sex crimes, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said.
Trevor John Haines, 22, was sentenced in Stevens County District Court by Judge Clinton B. Peterson to 86 months to be served in the Kansas Department of Corrections. Haines pleaded guilty in June to one count of aggravated indecent liberties and one count of aggravated solicitation of a child. The conviction stemmed from a crime that occurred in August 2014.
The case was investigated by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. Assistant Attorney General Melissa Johnson of Schmidt’s office prosecuted the case.
