Guymon Man Faces Multiple Charges

A Guymon man was arrested on Monday after a suspicious vehicle report to the Guymon Police Department, according to a report filed with the GPD. Officers were dispatched to a residence on Sunset Lane to look into a suspicious vehicle report. The driver, identified as 28-year-old Richard Holoka, did not live at the residence. Officers noticed Holoka appeared to be under the influence. An officer obtained consent to search the vehicle. The search yielded a large plastic bag containing three smaller baggies and one larger baggie of marijuana, coming to a total of 4.2 grams. Officers also found a black bottle containing 173.2 grams of marijuana and a small electronic scale. Another small baggie of methamphetamine, a glass jar with a small portion of a burnt marijuana cigarette and a silver measuring spoon with a burnt substance on the bottom were found, as well as a Ruger semi-automatic LC9 9mm pistol. Holoka is a convicted felon. Online records indicate Holoka has been convicted of the use of bogus checks and a con game and fraudulent use of a credit card number. A restitution hearing is set for the case on Oct. 26, with judgment and sentencing set for Feb. 22. Holoka is also listed as having unresolved traffic violations. Holoka was stopped within 2,000 feet of Thompson Park, according the the police report. Holoka was placed under arrest and transported to the Texas County Detention Center. He has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance within 2,000 feet of a Park, Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of a Firearm after Felony Conviction. – See more at: http://guymondailyherald.com
