Peggy Jean McBee

Peggy Jean McBee, 85, of Tyrone, Oklahoma passed away March 30, 2014 at Asbury Park Nursing Home in Newton, Kansas.

Peggy was born April 25, 1928 in Tyrone, Oklahoma, the daughter of Luther K. and Thelma McGuire Nelson. As a young girl the family moved frequently.

On April 25, 1943 in Liberal, Kansas she was united in marriage to Johnny G. McBee. He passed away August 23, 2002.

In 1955 they moved back to Tyrone to make their home.

She was a member of the Tyrone Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Johnny and one sister, Donna Ireland.

Survivors include her two sons, J.K. and Mickey McBee of Edmond, Oklahoma and Russell and Janet McBee of Tyrone, Oklahoma; one daughter, Joan and Steve Herrell of Marion Lake, Kansas; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Tyrone Cemetery directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home of Hooker, Oklahoma.

Memorials are suggested to the Tyrone Cemetery Fund and may be left at the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma 73945.
