Larry McGuire: UPDATE

Larry Lee Roy McGuire passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at his home in Hooker, Oklahoma.

Larry was born August 22, 1939 in Butler, Missouri, the son of Wilmer and Wilma Burch McGuire. This is where he grew up and attended school.

He was raised by his grandparents. He entered the US Marines serving from 1956 to 1958.

He met Jo Ann Ritchie in Hooker, Oklahoma and on May 22, 2002 they were married in Perryton, Texas and made their home in Hooker.

Larry collected and worked on tractors and motorcycles. He was a member of the Tractor Pulling Club in Guymon and the VFW in Hooker, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his sister Judy.

Survivors include his wife Jo Ann of the home; one brother, Dean & Diana McGuire; one sister, Kaye Nicely

Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler, Missouri directed by Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel in Butler, Missouri. Local arrangements conducted by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Oklahoma.
