Gary D. Cline, 77 of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.

Gary was born January 25, 1936 in Woody Community, North of Lamesa, Texas, the son of Andrew Ray and Willie Mae McGowen Cline. He was the youngest of four children. He attended the Lamesa Schools after which he served in the U.S. Navy, retiring with an honorable discharge after twenty years of service. He pulled four tours of duty in Vietnam. Gary also worked several years for National Beef Carriers.

Gary loved his family and was a devoted father and provider. He spent much quality time with them.

He married his childhood sweetheart, Zilla Huntington on February 21, 1959 in Hale Center, Texas. They were blessed with four children.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Max.

Gary is survived by his wife, Zilla of the home; three daughters, Vicky Putman and husband Ronny of Farnsworth, Texas, Julie Cline of Pampa, Texas, Tammy Cline of Greenville, Texas and one son, Bret and wife JoAnne of Westville, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one sister, Billie Cline Jacinto of Fremont, California and one brother, Clive Cline and his wife, Ann of Amarillo, Texas.

Gary’s family will remain strong because of the example he set for them.

The family will greet friends at the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Oklahoma at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2013.
