Anna Velasquez, age 33, of Ulysses, Kansas died Monday, December 3, 2012 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born December 19, 1978 in Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua Mexico, the daughter of Johan and Helena (Peters) Wolf.
Anna had a kidney disease that disabled her since age 9. She received her GED in Ulysses. Anna married Larry Paul Velasquez in 2003. She was a supporter of The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and Spinal Muscular Atrophy Foundation. Anna attended the New Life Church in Ulysses, Kansas.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Paul of the home; son, Carlos Wolf of the home, step-son, Skylar Renshaw of Corpus Christi, Texas; parents, Johan and Helena Wolf of Ulysses, Kansas; brothers, Frank Wolf and wife Erin of Hutchinson, Kansas, Richard Wolf of Ulysses, Kansas; sister Norma Wolf of Ulysses, Kansas; grandparents, Henry and Susanna Peters of Aylmer, Ontario Canada, and Maria Wolf of Campo 82, Mexico; and niece and nephew, Christan and Noah.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Alicia Velasquez in 2006; and grandfather, Isaac Wolf.
Funeral service will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM at New Life Church in Ulysses, Kansas with Pastor Kerry Rosfeld and Ted Goertzen officiating. Interment will follow at the Ulysses Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
