Jerrald Tobin, age 75, of Johnson, Kansas died Friday, March 30, 2012 at Stanton County Hospital in Johnson, Kansas. He was born June 17, 1936 in Oneida, South Dakota, the son of Joseph and Eldora Frances (McCamley) Tobin. Jerrald, a farmer, attended school in Gettysburg, South Dakota. He went to work on the family farm until he served our country in the United States Army. Jerrald married Sherry Travis in 1958 in Follett, Texas. He moved to Johnson, Kansas in 2009. It was important to him to give blood every chance he could. He was the caretaker for his wife the last ten years she lived. He was a member of the Sheriff’s Association of Texas. Jerrald will be remembered for all the good he did for people, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include son, Rick Tobin and wife Janet of Manter, Kansas; brother, Merle Tobin of St. Cloud, Minnesota; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Jerrald is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and ten siblings. Graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the Fairmont Cemetery in Follett, Texas with Pastor Doc Methvin officiating.
