Fredia F. Harrel, 91, Liberal, KS, died Friday March 30, 2012
at The Legacy at Parkview, Ulysses, KS.
She was born February 14, 1921 at Tyrone, OK, the daughter of
William F. & Lola M. McConnaughy Carlile.
Fredia graduated at Grant County Rural High School in 1939, She
worked at Montgomery Ward in Great Bend, KS, was bookkeeper
at Stu Emmert’s and later was a clerk for the Seward County
Appraisers Office for many years before retiring.
Fredia enjoyed many interests, including bowling, gardening, crocheting and reading. Her husband Harvey and herself used to
attend the Liberal Bee Jays baseball games and recently
would pleasure in going to the Senior Citizens Center and
visiting with friends.
She was a member of the Faith Tabernacle, & VFW Auxiliary, Liberal.
On November 19, 1945, she married Harvey C. Harrel at Dodge City, KS;
he died July 8, 1981.
She is survived by nieces and nephews including, Loretta Stever
and husband Jeff, Las Vegas, NV; Sheila Fuhrmann and husband Tom
and Joycelyn Wickwar and husband Mark all of Ulysses, KS;
Paul Carlile, Victoria Nicdomemus and Christine Zackule, all of
Spokane,WA. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother
Pete Carlile, a sister Lucille Schartz.
Funeral service will be conducted 2:00- P.M. Wednesday at Faith Tabernacle with Rev. Rex Petty presiding.
Interment will be in the Liberal Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Miller Mortuary 9 A.M.-8 P.M. Tuesday
and 9-11 A. M. Wednesday.
The family suggests memorials to Faith Tabernacle in care of the
Mortuary.
