Sue Steinle: UPDATE

Sue Steinle, 86, of Hooker, Oklahoma passed away January 1, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Virginia Sue was born April16, 1925 in Tyrone, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clayton and Rowena Minnie Gantt White. A day after her birth, her mother passed away. She was raised by her grandfather, John W. Gantt.

Sue attended school and graduated from Tyrone High School. She worked at the Voiles Drug store during summers and then attended business school in Texas. She moved and lived for a time in California where she worked at the Salt and Sea Restaurant and dispatched for the police department. She loved the warm weather and the ocean. Leo and she made many trips to California.

She moved back to Hooker where she was married to Leo Steinle on September 28, 1964 in Hooker. She worked many years as a beautician.

Sue was a member of the Church of Christ in Hooker.

She is preceded in death by her husband Leo in 2009 and her daughter, Jackie Clutter in 2011

Survivors two grandchildren, Jeff Herald and his wife Kathy of Hooker, Oklahoma, Sheree Dobbins and the late Paul Dobbins of Amarillo, Texas; six great grandchildren, Brent, Grace, Ema, Roy, Peyton, Trevor, and Kesleigh. His nieces and nephews, Katherine McGrew and her husband Terry, Robert Steinle, Kenneth Steinle, and Norma Jean Riley and her husband Danny.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Church of Christ in Hooker, Oklahoma with Matt Richardson officiating. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. in Hooker, Oklahoma.

Memorials are suggested to the Hooker Swimming Pool and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma 73945.
