Saw Ahmara is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal junior cross country runner Saw Ahmara is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. The honorable mention all WAC runner is trying to make it three of three in state cross country appearances. Her best time was a 20:49 at the Newton meet. Ahmara also runs track and is a member of NHS. Ahmara and the Redskins run at regionals Saturday at Lafte Afton joining Bishop Carroll, Kapaun, Goddard, Goddard Eisenhower, Ark City, Maize, and Maize South at the regional. The top three teams qualify for state.
