LHS Cross Country Eyes More Titles

In four seasons as head cross country coach, Tyson McGuire’s Redskin boys have been to state every year while the girls have sent the team to state in three of four years. The Redskins look for more this season as the sport continues to grow. There are 56 athletes out for the sport with 33 boys and 23 girls. The Redskins open at Perryton Saturday embarking on a more local schedule which sees them compete at Perryton, Hugoton, and Liberal. That’s right Liberal. The Redskins host WAC cross country October 15 at Yucca Ridge which will mark the first home event for all of the current runners. Here are the varsity lineups for the opener Saturday.
