Irby Expects Improved Tennis Team

Liberal’s girls tennis team should be improved in 2015. That’s according to ninth year head coach Bret Irby. Liberal returns three starters and has 26 out for tennis.

Liberal opens the season Saturday morning at 9 at Blue Bonnet Park at 9 a.m. Scott City and Meade come to town.

Here’s Liberal’s varsity lineup to begin the season.

#1 Singles- Jr. Tierra Stoney

#2 Singles- So. Valerie Esqueda

#1 Doubles- Sr. Jordan Apsley and So Nikki Gill

#2 Doubles- Sr. Kayla Tran and Sr. Cassie San Luis
