Liberal Ties Second Place Dodge City

Liberal played better soccer this week. After making WAC champ Garden City work for a 3-1 win Tuesday in which LHS led 1-0 at the half, LHS tied second place Dodge City 1-1 Thursday evening at Redskin Field for their final home game. Dodge City led 1-0 at halftime. Yvette Vazquez scored on a penalty kick in the 11th minute to tie the game at 1-1. The game finished tied after double overtime. Liberal is 5-10-1 and 2-5-1 in the WAC and Dodge City is 11-4-1 and 5-2-1.
