The Liberal soccer team won their second Wichita tournament Saturday. The Skins beat the Wichita East Aces 2-0 Saturday to win the Wichita North Cup. This was as scoreless game until the 70th minute when Pedro Lara sent a cross toward Eliel Gonzalez who headed the ball into the net for the goal. Gonzalez added a goal on a penalty kick due to an East hand ball. The Redskins considered East to be the best defensive team they have faced.

The 12-1-1 Redskins return to WAC play Monday night with a 5-1 record in conference. They host the Great Bend Panthers Monday at 5:45. Community Bank bought out the game so admission is free.
