Redskins Open with Win Over West

The Liberal soccer team won their opener on Labor Day. The Skins beat the Wichita West Pioneers 1-0 to begin the Wichita South Titan Classic. Johny Delval scored the goal and Angel Archuleta assisted Delval. The Redskins had 10 shots on goal. Maize beat Wichita North 2-1 so the Redskins face the Eagles Wednesday at 6 p.m.

In other action at Wichita, Northwest defeated Dodge City 3-2 and Southeat knocked off Great Bend 3-2. Hays plays Garden City in Garden Tuesday.
