KSCB News - July 12, 2014 10:37 pm

El Dorado’s Tyler Carvalho took a no hitter into the ninth in a 4-0 win over the Liberal BJ’s Saturday night in El Dorado. Zach Reding’s seeing eye single off the glove of diving first baseman Zack Fields with one out in the ninth provided Liberal’s only hit. El Dorado’s Zack Fields hit his third homer in the series and Max Hogan homered in the Bronco win. BJ starter JB Olson pitched 5.2 innings allowing four runs. Nathan Smythe went 2.1 innings scoreless. Liberal has lost four straight and has a 21 inning scoreless streak. El Dorado is 13-18 and 10-17 in the Jayhawk while the BJ’s are 16-17 and 10-17 in the league. The same two teams meet Sunday night at 7 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
