Busy Regional Week for Redskins

Liberal’s teams will hit the road this week for regionals. The LHS golf team competes at Smoky Hill Country Club in Hays for regional golf beginning Monday morning at 9 a.m. The top three teams and five lowest scores not on qualifying teams will make it to state. LHS competes with Hays, Great Bend, Newton, Salina Central, Salina South, and Valley Center.
The LHS baseball team is the four seed at regionals. They will play on Wednesday at 2 at Westurban in Wichita. Bishop Carroll is the host. The 11-9 Redskins play 10-10 Great Bend at 2 on 1270 and kscbnews.net. At 3:45, it’s top seeded 18-2 Bishop Carroll against 4-16 Wichita West. The winners meet at 5:30 for the right to go to state.
The LHS softball team at 0-18 is seeded seventh and travels to play second seeded 16-4 Great Bend at 4:45 Wednesday in Great Bend. Third seed 16-4 Hays plays six seed 10-10 Goddard Eisenhower.
The LHS girls soccer team is 5-10 and plays at 11-4-1 Goddard Eisenhower Monday at 5.
LHS track goes to Wichita and competes at Friends University at a meet hosted by Bishop Carroll Friday at 3. Liberal, Bishop Carroll, Ark City, Andover, Goddard, Goddard Eisenhower, Kapaun, and Wichita West will compete.
