LHS 400 Freestyle Team Makes State Consideration Time

The LHS girls swimming team took fourth with 199 points at Hutchinson Tuesday. Liberal’s 400 freestyle relay team made consideration time for state with a final time of 4:41.71. The relay team includes Tessa Downs, Macy Hintergardt, Nancy Varella, and Linnae Downs. Tessa Downs also placed fourth in the individual medley at 2:44.81 and got second in the 100 yard butterfly at 1:17.30. Erika Martinez was fifth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:34.27. LHS competes for a WAC title May 15 at Hays.
