Erving Altamirano is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal senior runner Erving Altamirano is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Altamirano was part of winning 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams at Great Bend while finishing third in the mile and the quarter mile. At Liberal’s 5 State Relays he won gold in the 4×400 and 4×800 relays and won goal in the mile and was second in the quarter mile in that meet. Altamirano runs cross country, compete in powerlifting, and track and field. He also participates in Standout, Yu-Gi-Oh club, NHS, and Avid. He has qualfied for state in cross country both years he was out for the sport and made state all three years he has been involved in track and field. LHS competes at the Campus Invitational in Haysville Friday.
