Turnover Time for Redskins

Liberal committed 20 turnovers in the first 20 minutes of basketball Friday night in the Big House in a 60-46 loss to Lawton. The Redskins finished with 22 turnovers in a game which was attainable for Liberal if not for the lack of ball security. Lawton (2-3), who went 11-1 in football used their noticeable athletic ability to hound Liberal’s guards into a rash of errors.

Lawton led 16-9 after one and 33-23 at halftime. Lawton extended that lead to 49-33 after three. Britton Abbott scored 13 in the loss.

Liberal hosts 1-1 Bartlesville at about 6 Saturday evening on 1270 and kscbnews.net. Bartlesville defeated Hereford 73-61.
