Jai Chapman is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal senior middle hitter Jai Chapman is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. She was named all tournament in Liberal’s tournament as LHS went 6-0 to win the tournament Saturday. She was the WAC player of the year as a junior and was first team all WAC as a sophomore. She and the Redskins play at Kingman Thursday against Kingman, Chapparal, and Belle Plaine. Liberal is 15-4 on the season and has won 11 in a row.

Chapman was first team all WAC in basketball and won state in both the 100 and 300 hurdles at the state meet in May. She is also a member of FCA, NHS, and Stucco.
