Jada Mickens is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal freshman Jada Mickens is off to a flying start. The former West Warrior is the school year’s first Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week after one match. She hit .714 and had 10 kills helping Liberal’s volleyball team beat Southwestern Heights Tuesday night. She and the Redskins face Garden City and Great Bend Thursday afternoon and evening in Garden City. Mickens will also play backetball and run track along with her sister Jai Chapman.
