It was a bad time for a collapse. The Liberal Bee Jays committed four errors and allowed six runs the last two innings in a 6-2 loss to the Cape Girardeau Capahas Wednesday afternoon at Lawrence Dumont Stadium. The Bee Jays finish 27-19 and 3-2 in the first week of the NBC World Series.

The Bee Jays wasted a very good outing from Austin King who went six and one-third innings and allowed one earned run.

Liberal scored one in the first when Brady Capshaw singled and Tanner Rainey doubled him to third. Darien McLemore hit a sacrifice fly to score a run. Jason Dahl doubled home a run in the fifth.

The Capahas scored two in the seventh before plating four in the eighth. Cape Girardeau plays the San Diego Force Thursday night for the right to advance to Championship Week. The Capahas are 32-4.
