Hinkle Moves From AD To Head Basketball Coach

On Thursday, May 30 USD 480 approved Mr. Scott Hinkle to be the Head Boys Basketball coach at Liberal High School.

Mr. Hinkle has served as athletic director in Liberal the previous nine years. Prior to becoming athletic director he coached at both the high school and collegiate levels, including being part of the staff at Seward County Community College where they won a national championship.

“Mr. Hinkle not only brings vast experience to the table as far as coaching goes, but his recent experience in administration has also allowed him to gain an understanding of the give and take necessary to be successful. We are very excited for the Boys basketball program and feel very fortunate to have someone with Mr. Hinkle’s expertise at the reins.”-Paul J. Larkin, Deputy Superintendent.

Mr. Hinkle lives in Liberal with his wife, Amy and their two children, Holly and Cade.
