Diamond Ward is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal sophomore sprinter and jumper Diamond Ward is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Ward won the WAC in the long jump at 16’8". Her best triple jump is 34’3". She also runs the 100 and the 200 and will have a strong chance to qualify for state in all four events. Her jumps lead the regional which consists of Kapaun, Bishop Carroll, Maize South, Goddard, Goddard Eisenhower, and Ark City. Ward is also a cheerleader for fall and winter sports.
