It’s difficult to capture over 40 years of dedication to an institution in one weekend or one interview. Yet that is exactly what Charles Brownlee did. He was inducted into the Saints Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday and sat down with KSCB for an interview which aired on the Sportsguys Friday.

Brownlee is an original member of the staff at Seward when the college open. The longtime physics and math instructor has also been athletic director, track coach, and bus driver at the school. But it’s his love for the student athletes, especially the Lady Saints basketball program which really set his world on fire.

The longtime member of the Saints Booster Club Board of Directors Charles and his wife Evelyn established the Brownlee Science and Math Endowment Fund for student scholarships with preference give to a Lady Saint basketball player.

Brownlee, who’s speech is affected by Lou Gehrig’s disease had a weekend to remember. Almost his entire family came to Liberal for the weekend including some family driving all the way from Oregon.
