Liberal had 10 errors in two losses to Great Bend Friday at the Liberal Baseball Complex. The Panthers (4-0, 2-0) won 10-1 and 18-2 in five innings.

In game one, Liberal was highly competitive with Jared Hasik on the mound for the first four innings. The game was tied at 1-1 going to the fifth when a throwing error at shortstop seemed to open up the inning for the Panthers who scored four to lead 5-1. Great Bend added five more for good measure in the seventh. Hasik pitched four and 2/3 innings allowing three earned runs. Brandyn Terrazas and Christian Hernandez were both 1-3 with a double. Great Bend out-hit LHS 11-5 and LHS had four errors.

In game two, Great Bend scored two in the first while LHS scored one. But the Panthers broke it open in the second with 11 runs to lead 13-1. Great Bend had 14 hits and the Redskins committed six errors.

Liberal is 3-5 and 0-2 in the WAC and plays a single game at Guymon Monday.
