Liberal Girls Blank Great Bend in Wichita

The Liberal girls are 2-2 in soccer after a 3-0 win Saturday morning over Great Bend in the Wichita South Titan Classic. Junior Habits Ruiz scored the first goal which skipped over the goalkeeper’s head at the 33:43 mark. Junior Crystal Vela scored at teh 14:46 mark to make it 2-0 at halftime. Freshman Carolina Limon scored off an assist from Crystal Vela at the 28:28 mark of the second half. Liberal had seven shots on goal and junior Magali Vazquez had one save and a shutout. This was a non-WAC consolation game and didn’t count toward WAC standings. Tuesday, the two teams meet for a WAC game at Great Bend.
