Saints Pound on Pirates in Quarterfinals

Outside of a slow start that saw Independence take a 6-0
early lead, the Saints controlled their game nearly the entire way.
Seward kept the Pirates without a field goal for over an 8:00 stretch
midway through the half to take a commanding 31-10 lead and the Saints
led into the half 42-27. The closest Independence got in the second
half was 14 as Seward ballooned their lead to as many as 24 points
before bringing the game home 84-66 in an anticlimactic finish. The win
is the 10th straight for Seward as they head to the Region VI Final Four
yet again. The Saints will match up with #24 Barton in the semis at
Hartman Arena in Park City, Kansas near Wichita at 5:30 on B107.5 and kscbnews.net.
