Chapman Carries Liberal to Win

The Liberal Lady Redskins equaled last year’s win total with a 49-46 win at Ulysses Tuesday night. Liberal is 3-4 after Jai Chapman carried LHS with a career high 27 points.

Liberal struggled much of the night trailing 19-9 in the first quarter but rallied back to lead 27-26 at halftime and led 39-38 after three quarters. Liberal trailed 43-40 but rallied to win.

Liberal won despite 17 turnovers.

Carolina Gallegos led 0-6 Ulysses with 19 points while Amanda Langley scored 12.

Liberal hosts Hays January 4 at 6 p.m. in the Big House.
