Redskins Add Weekend Wrestling Tournament

Liberal found a wrestling tournament just three days before the tournament begins. Yesterday, KSCB reported Liberal would open their season December 7 and 8 at Colby after learning their opening tournament at Albuquerque’s Rio Rancho had been pushed back a week. But LHS athletic director Scott Hinkle found a tournament called the December Duals in Valley Center Saturday. That tournament actually needed one more team to fill their field. The competing teams are Andover Central, Derby, Douglass, Emporia, Goddard, Great Bend, Wichita Heights, and Valley Center. The duals begin at 9 a.m.
