Garden City Gets Even with Liberal Soccer

The Western Athletic Conference’s first place soccer team defeated the team which has won 11 straight WAC soccer titles Tuesday evening in Garden City. Garden avenges their only conference loss of the season. The Garden City Buffaloes are 5-1 in the WAC after a 3-1 win over Liberal who falls to 1-4 in the WAC. Jason Rios scored Liberal’s goal thanks to an assist from Jordan Zarate. Liberal actually led the shots on goal category 8-5. That makes two straight losses when Liberal led the shots on goal. Thursday they out shot Hays 10-3 but lost 2-0. The Redskins are 3-6-1 overall and play at Hays Thursday.
