Evan Sumner is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal senior golfer Evan Sumner is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Sumner shot a 50 to take seventh place at the season opening tournament at Smoky Hills in Hays Monday. It was Sumner’s career best and that is saying something considering she has qualified for state all three years. Monday marked Sumner’s seventh time to play the Hays course.

Sumner is also a member of Odyssey of the Mind and That Liberal Band. Sumner and the LHS golf team compete at a tournament in Hugoton Thursday.
