Moscow’s Granillo Up for Catchy Award

Moscow’s Osvaldo Granillo is up for a state wide award. The Moscow sprinter is one of four nominees for a "Catchy" award. It’s an annual award on an all Kansas high school sports website at catchitkansas.com. Here are the nominees.

Who was the best Boys Track Athlete during the 2012 season? *

• Osvaldo Granillo – Moscow – Won gold in 100, 200 and 400. Anchored third-place 1600-meter relay team. Finished season tied for State’s best 100-meter dash time.
• David Thor – Bishop Carroll – Three individual golds and relay silver at State Track. He broke 26-year-old state record in 1600 at state. He finished season with state’s best times in 800 & 1600.
• Drew Diederich – Sacred Heart – Won the 100 and 200 at State. Finished third in the 400 and 1600-meter relay. Team won state Championship.
• Steven Calloway – Wichita Southeast – Two individual and two relay golds at State Track Meet. Finished with best 400-meter dash time in state.
