Lady Saints Can’t Get Over Hump at Cloud

The #19 Seward Lady Saints couldn’t break through Wednesday night at Bryant Gymnasium in Concordia. Seward cut Cloud’s lead to one twice but the Lady T-Birds won 81-74. It’s Seward’s fifth loss in seven tries in Concordia.

Cloud bullied Seward on the boards outrebounding Seward 49-33. Cloud led 39-28 at halftime.

Seward played better offensively shooting 43 percent. Anete Kirsteine and Mariah Lee scored 12 a piece while Kayla Thomas and Ashlynn Knoll scored 11 a piece.

Brieona Warner led Cloud with 24.

Seward is 20-5 overall and 9-3 in the Jayhawk West while Cloud is 17-7 and 7-4 in the Jayhawk West.
