It’s Barrios to the Bayou

It’s on to the Bayou for Seward freshman shortstop Jake Barrios. The Weatherford, Oklahoma product signed at LSU Thursday morning in the All American Room at SCCC/ATS. He will leave Seward a year early after a stellar first team all Region 6 and all Jayhawk West season. Barrios hit .359 with a team leading eight home runs and 58 RBI’s which tied him Tyler Hill for the team lead. Barrios helped the Saints finish 46-20 and win the Region 6 and Jayhawk West championships. Barrios will play for the Liberal Bee Jays this summer and likely will hear his name called in the MLB draft.
