Liberal junior Isaac Gallegos is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. The sprinter has won the 200 twice running the race at 22.92 in Ulysses and 23.31 at Liberal’s 5 State Relays. He won the 400 at Ulysses in 51.51 and was second in Liberal at 52.19. Gallegos teamed with Adebayo Braimah, Michael Sena, and Alejandro Avila to win the 4×400 in one of the most exciting races Friday with a time of 3:32.24 just edging Holcomb.
